Thankful Thursday... On Friday :]

Yesterday was a bit hectic.... ok a lot.

But I am thankful for God's guidance and answer to my prayer. I'm going through the whole not fun process of job searching. Yeah all the stressfull things that come along with that.

So here's the short version of the story... I applied for this Nanny position and it was my ideal job. Good pay, benefits, all major holidays off, 2 weeks paid vacation. 2 little girls and they e-mailed me back.

Let me back up a little bit. Yesterday I was starting to stress out a little bit. So I started praying God you know my needs and I know you will provide. But I haven't heard anything yet. I'm not exactly sure the length of time between then and when I got that e-mail at max a few hours. So of course I got excited. This is PERFECT right??

So on my way home I was excitedly telling my boyfriend all about this and how I'm hoping it works out and they want to meet me etc. When we got of the phone I just had this wierd feeling. Something wasn't quite right. So I prayed to God... "PLEASE show me if I'm supposed to really pour myself into getting this position." As I got home I was excitedly telling my mom the news when I had to run out the door to go to the dentist.

From one place to the next.... I had worship team practice after so I had to wait until 8:30 pm to finally open my laptop up and check the details and respond back to her e-mail. I found out the town where they lived... I didn't recognize the name. I was like oh great where is that. So handy dandy mapquest showed me that they live a whopping 30ish miles away from me!

At this time a huge chunk of disappointment hit me. Come on God this is the perfect job... starts in January and was exactly what I was looking for. But deep down I knew that this was his answer to my prayer. Even though it's NOT what I wanted to hear I am glad for such a clear answer and I'm thankful for that.

Now back to the rat race of searching...
