I haven't really been feeling incredibly inspired lately. Maybe because I haven't been giving myself much time to think and when I do. It's not times that I can grab a pen and paper and write or my laptop. [ "This too shall pass..."]
So I am determined to write more often even if it's scatterbrained and not in depth as I want it to be. It will come with some time.
I don't know about where you live but here everything is go go goooo. Not much time to sit and relax. Work as much as you can get and to and from places as fast as possible. Do as many things as you can in the evenings just to feel like you accomplished something.
A person can only handle so much of that before they go crazy. I think I'm beyond that point. I've been making some small subtle changes and noticing some progress. Less time on the computer more time outside enjoying a good tennis match or bike ride. Digging my nose into some books. My bookworm side of me is coming back and I am wondering how I ever pushed my reading to the side. I can't put my books down. My reading list is growing and growing and the book section is my favorite section at consignment shops and goodwills. I mean $29 books for $1 you can't beat that!
I've been learning to enjoy those little things in life a little bit more... a large glass of sweet iced tea, or a nice hot cup of coffee, evenings spent talking with my mom, quality time spent with my man and best friend. Even spending some extra quality time with my Saviour. Getting some naps or going to bed a little bit earlier.
Changes I've noticed... Being refreshed and rejuvinated almost daily. More prone to get some things accomplished. Learning to let my love reach out and touch others. Praying more frequently.
It's going to be a lifetime work of learning how to rest in God and take life a step at a time to enjoy it to the fullest. I'm feeling blessed already.
Happy Sunday everyone! :)
